Tos WRD 150

What the maker publishes about the current Tos WRD 150

TOS VARNSDORF places the WRD 150 in its WRD 130/150/160 family of floor-type horizontal boring mills for large, heavy work. The WRD 130 is the base build with a 130 mm work spindle; the WRD 150 is the option with a 150 mm spindle, and the WRD 160 takes it to 160 mm. The maker describes the family as rigid and strong in cutting under long periods of heavy load. The maker points the family at big, heavy workpieces and at parts of awkward three-dimensional shape, whether in cast iron, cast steel or steel, for coordinate drilling, boring, milling and threading. The working area can be set up as a field of clamping plates or with one or more extra tables, and a rotary table can be fitted as well. A stiff extending ram carries an interface for several types of milling head, and automatic tool change can be built in. A broad range of extra equipment widens what the machines can do.

What the Tos WRD 150 is used for

TOS VARNSDORF puts the WRD 150 to large, heavy pieces and to parts of irregular 3D form in cast iron, cast steel or steel, where the usual work is drilling, boring, milling and threading to coordinates, with the work area laid out as clamping plates or extra tables.
