What the maker published about the Okuma MULTUS B300II
Okuma's MULTUS B300II is a multitasking CNC lathe in the 8 to 10 inch chuck class that brings turning and milling together on one machine. It turns parts up to Ø600 mm across. The main spindle has a JIS A2-6 nose, with JIS A2-8 as an option, and a speed range of 45 to 5,000 rpm, or 38 to 3,800 rpm as an option; standard power is 15/11 kW, and the main spindle has a full contouring C-axis. Milling goes to the H1 head, a CAPTO-C6 spindle running to 6,000 rpm on a 15/10 hp PREX motor, with 10,000 rpm and 21/15 hp as an option. That head swivels through a 225° B-axis range in 0.001 degree increments and moves on a Y-axis. The base machine has a 40 tool ATC, with a 60 tool ATC optional. X and Z move at 40 m/min in rapid traverse, Y at 26 m/min. A W version with a second spindle is optional, and the control is the THINC-OSP P300S.
