What the maker publishes about the current Okuma MB-66VB
Okuma's MB-66VB is the No. 50 taper version of the MB-66V, the biggest of the three sizes (46, 56 and 66) in Okuma's MB-V series brochure, and the brochure gives the VB machines their own spindle line. X travels 1,500 mm on a ram saddle, Y 660 mm with the table and Z 660 mm with the spindle, and the spindle nose sits 150 to 810 mm above the table top. The table takes work up to 1,530 x 660 mm and 1,500 kg. The standard spindle runs 50 to 6,000 min-1 from an 11/7.5 kW motor with a 7/24 taper No. 50, and a 12,000 min-1 spindle is optional. Tool capacity is 20, with 32 or 48 as options, rapids are 32 m/min in Z and 40 m/min in both X and Y, and the standard control is the OSP-P300MA. The machine needs 3,035 x 3,325 mm of floor.
