On the MA-12500H, a horizontal machining center in Okuma's MA-H series, the work sits on a 1,250 x 1,250 mm table. Its longest stroke, 2,200 mm, belongs to the X axis; Z covers 1,650 mm and Y covers 1,600 mm. As built, the spindle turns at 6,000 min-1, and spindles of 4,500 or 12,000 min-1 are listed as options. Okuma rates the standard motor at 45/37 kW, while bracketed ratings of 40/37/30 kW and 37/26 kW are optional. The base magazine has room for 81 tools, and magazines for 129 or 177 tools are optional. Across the MA-H line, which also includes the MA-500HII, MA-600HIII, MA-4000H and MA-8000H, Okuma gives feed axes moving at 60 m/min and a double sleeve arrangement that cools the spindle and keeps head temperature balanced against deformation. The series text also says its spindles hold full power across low and high revolution speeds.
