What the maker publishes about the current Okuma GENOS L2000-E
Okuma's GENOS L2000-e is a horizontal CNC lathe in the GENOS L Series, which also includes the GENOS L250II, L400II and L3000-e. It is a one-saddle machine with an integral main spindle, its motor part of the spindle itself. Turning is the base function, and milling is an option. A slotted turret with 12 stations comes as standard, and it is a bolt-on type for the optional M and MY versions. Okuma's highlighted specs give a maximum turning diameter of Ø230 mm. The spindle nose is JIS A2-6, and the speed range runs from 45 to 5,000 min⁻¹. Spindle power is 15 kW for 20 minutes and 11 kW continuous. Rapid traverse is 25 m/min on X and 30 m/min on Z. The Thermo Active Stabilizer, TAS-C, is standard and compensates for thermal effects on its own. Coolant sits in a separate tank, and the OSP suite of apps is listed for setup and operation.
