Okamoto IGM-15NCIII

What the maker published about the Okamoto IGM-15NCIII

Okamoto Corporation's 2014 page names the IGM-15NCIII as its latest generation of CNC grinder for inside diameters. Control is a Fanuc OiTD with a touch screen and conversational input, and its screens cover program and tool storage, tool setup and dressing parameters, the main program for automatic grinding with its offsets, and graphic touch and teach programming. The machine grinds straight and tapered bores, faces and multiple steps, and it can finish IDs, ODs and faces in one chucking. An AC motor drives the table, with feed steps down to 0.00001 inch, and the infeed can also move in steps of 0.00001 inch on the diameter. The wheelhead has 3 programmable speeds, and the workhead turns at 100 to 850rpm. An interrupt function lets the wheel be dressed partway through an automatic cycle. A swing type dresser with a diamond tool that touches at 2 points, an oil mist unit and an oil chill unit are named on the page as well.
