Built by Mazak with a traveling column, the VTC-530C vertical machining center moves its spindle over a fixed table. The table's working surface spans 2,300 mm lengthwise and 530 mm across, its center sits 750 mm above the floor, and a 1000 kg workpiece is its limit. Strokes come to 1,740 mm for the saddle on X, 530 mm for the column on Y and 510 mm for the head on Z, and 42 m/min rapids apply to all three. Power at the spindle is 18.5 kW, speed 12,000 rpm, and the shank BT40 or CAT40. A changer with an intermediate arm stores 30 tools as standard, each as long as 350mm and as heavy as 8kg, and 48 is an option. A center partition, also optional, divides the table in two. The footprint is 4,225 mm in width by 3,510 mm in depth.
