What the maker published about the Mazak VCS 530C
The Vertical Center Smart 530C, a vertical machining center in Mazak's VCS line, takes its commands from the SMART control, which Mazak calls its entry level CNC; it accepts Mazatrol conversational programs or EIA code. On a 40 taper spindle with grease packed ceramic bearings, speed reaches 12000 rpm, and the motor gives 25.0 hp / 19 kw, a figure rated over 5 minutes. A 30 tool magazine supplies the spindle, and a switch mounted on the spindle clamps or releases a tool. X covers 1050 mm, Y 530 mm and Z 510 mm, with a table of 1300 by 550 mm. Mx roller guides carry every axis, and the control panel pivots toward the operator. Mazak names three Intelligent Machine functions: IMS for maintenance support, the Intelligent Thermal Shield for heat displacement compensation, and Active Vibration Control.
