The QT 6G from Mazak is a CNC chucker turning center with a compact footprint, laid out for small workpieces. Parts are gripped in either a three-jaw chuck or a collet chuck. Rather than an indexing turret, the machine carries its tools on a gang plate, six of them by the page's count, which takes turret indexing out of the cycle. Power comes from a motor good for 7.5 hp / 6 kw across 30 minutes, and with its 5 in chuck the spindle reaches 7000 rpm. Turned work is limited to 3.740 in across and 2.360 in long, while bar stock can be as large as 1.3 in. Mazak named the control type Mazatrol-EIA. Gantry Loader (GL) systems appear as an option for running without an attendant.

Mazak's 2017 page aimed the QT 6G at small workpieces held in collets or three-jaw chucks, and grouped it with consumer electronics, medical and mass production work.
