Mazak's HQR-200MSY is a CNC turning center with two spindles and two turrets, equipped for milling and Y axis work. Its specification page lists two universal types, 850U and 1300U, with the same spindle and turret figures. Both spindles take an 8" chuck and run to 5000 rpm, each rated 22 kW (30 HP) for 30 minutes and 15 kW (20 HP) continuous. The spindle bore is Φ2.99", and main spindle torque reaches 344 ft-lbs at 25%ED. For the upper and lower turret Mazak gives a tool storage capacity of 12, a 1" shank height and Φ2" boring bar shanks, and rotary tools turn at up to 6000 rpm. X travel is 8" on the upper turret and 6" on the lower, with 4" of Y on each. Z travel is 30" and 32" on the 850U, or 48" and 51" on the 1300U. Machining diameter reaches Φ13.5", and lengths of 33.9" and 52.2" are listed. The 850U weighs 28329 lbs and the 1300U 33025 lbs.
