Mazak's DUAL TURN 200 is a CNC turning center that puts two 2-axis turning centers into one machine, with a symmetrical layout of two spindles and two turrets. The main spindle takes an 8" chuck, runs to 5000 rpm and is rated 15 kW (20 HP) at 40% ED or 11 kW (15 HP) continuous. The second spindle matches it with an 8" chuck, 5000 rpm and 15 kW (20 HP) on a 30 minute rating. Parts up to Φ12.6" in diameter and 5.91" long can be machined. Mazak gives a turret tool storage capacity of 24, with 9" of X travel and 20" of Z travel. An automatic transfer passes each workpiece from the first spindle to the second for OP1 and OP2 in one run, and an automatic partition divides the two machining areas, so one side can be reloaded while the other cuts. Listed automation options are a bar feeder with an unloading hand, for bar work to 2.56", and a gantry loader.
