What the maker published about the Mazak DUAL TURN 20
On the DUAL TURN 20, Mazak set two opposed spindles and two turrets, one left and one right, on one machine bed. Each spindle is an integral type with an 8 in chuck, and a part transfers between the two spindles. Every side has a non-lift turret of 12 stations, for 24 tools in all, and both turrets can cut at once. Its swing equals its maximum machining diameter at 12.60 in, the machining length is 5.910 in, and bars as large as 2.0 in pass through. Both X axes move 9.06 in, and both Z axes 19.69 in. Mazatrol conversational language programs its 4-axis machining. For unattended work, Mazak names an unloader or a gantry cell that loads and unloads parts.
