Mazak gave the CYBERTECH TURN 4500MT two turrets on a heavy multi-tasking CNC turning center. M stands for milling, from a driven rotary spindle housed in the 12-position upper turret, and T for the 8-position lower turret, which can turn alongside it. Swing (33.86 in), machining diameter (31.890 in) and X stroke (21.26 in) do not change between the 2000U and 3000U beds. Machining length depends on the bed: 82.360 in for the 2000U, 122.320 in for the 3000U. Main spindle power is 50.0 hp / 37 kw for 30 minutes, with a 2400 rpm ceiling. The driven tools draw 15.0 hp / 11 kw, also over 30 minutes, and run to 3000 rpm. Milling, boring, drilling, tapping and turning to 40" fit in one setup. A servo drives the programmable tailstock, threading is built into the machine, and deep holes are bored with an automatic changer. Programs run in MAZATROL conversational form, G code, or both. An optional program handled re-threading of pipe.
