Makino's MAG3.EX is a five-axis horizontal machining center that the maker builds for aerospace work on monolithic aluminum parts. Compared with the MAG3, it has a longer X axis and a bigger pallet. That pallet measures 3,500 x 1,500 mm, and the strokes are 4,000 mm in X, 1,500 mm in Y and 1,000 mm in Z. The A axis tilts ± 110° and the C axis turns 360°, while no B axis is listed. Spindle speed reaches 33,000 rpm with 130 kW. Rapid traverse is 62,700 mm/min on X and 58,000 mm/min on Y and Z; the cutting feed limit is 50,000 mm/min.
