What the maker published about the Hermle C 1200 U

Hermle's German fact sheet for the C 1200 U puts X travel at 1,200 mm, Y at 800 mm and Z at 500 mm, and every axis rapids at 30 m/min. Work is held on an NC swivelling rotary table whose round clamping face measures ø 800 mm and carries up to 1,000 kg. That table tilts through a range from plus 15° to minus 97°. Three spindle speeds are printed, 10,000, 16,000 and 24,000 1/min, and drive power is given as 15 to 25 kW at 40% duty. Chip to chip, a tool change takes 6.5 s. Nothing else appears on the sheet: it names no control, no tool magazine size, no spindle taper and no machine weight, so none of those can be confirmed from this page, and the three speeds are not marked as standard or optional.
