Mori Seiki listed the SL-603C/2000 among the CNC lathes of its SL Series, with every figure given in millimeters and inches. Work of up to 900 mm diameter and 2,000 mm length can be turned. Here 10 turret stations are standard and 12 are optional. With the standard head, Mori Seiki gives 456 mm as the standard turning diameter, which narrows to 374 mm once the 12-station head is fitted. Its spindle is rated for 700 min-1, and a 1,000 min-1 spindle is the option, though the workholding and tooling in use can hold it under either rating. Axis movement totals 485 mm across X, split as 440 mm and 45 mm, and 2,150 mm along Z.
