What the maker published about the DMG MORI SL-403B 800

Twelve turret stations and a spindle limit of 2,400 min-1 make up the standard build of this Mori Seiki CNC lathe, the SL-403B/800, while the bracketed alternatives were a head with ten stations and a spindle limited to 1,900 min-1. Swapping to that ten station head moves the standard turning diameter from 368 mm up to 456 mm. Whichever head is used, capacity across is 620 mm (24.4 in.) at most. Parts as long as 958 mm (37.7 in.) fit on the 800 bed, and the Z slide travels 995 mm (39.2 in.). Cross travel totals 345 mm (13.6 in.), combining 310 mm with 35 mm. The table is limited to capacity, travel, spindle and turret rows, with no rapid rates, motor rating, chuck size or machine weight printed beside them.
