Mori Seiki's GV-503/5AX is a five axis vertical machining center from the GV series, with a 500x500 mm table that tilts on A through 210°, from minus 105° to plus 105°, and turns a full 360° on C. That table bears up to 400 kg. The column moves 610 mm lengthwise for X, the table shifts 765 mm crosswise on Y, and the head drops 460 mm on Z. Spindle speed is 12,000 min-1 standard and 20,000 min-1 optional, either one subject to the clamping, fixture and tool in use. Tooling takes MAS BT-40 shanks, or CAT-40 on the option list, and the magazine holds 30 tools, or 60 with the optional magazine. The page prints neither a control nor a motor rating.

In Mori Seiki's 2002 product guide the GV-503/5AX is the five-axis model of the GV series, compact vertical machining centers the maker says mean fewer machine setups and less part handling.
