DMG MORI builds the DMU 65 monoBLOCK as a 5-axis milling machine with an NC swivel rotary table. Axis paths are 735 mm in X, 650 mm in Y and 560 mm in Z. The standard table carries parts up to 600 kg. As table options, a tandem drive in the A axis takes parts up to 840 mm across, 500 mm tall and 1,000 kg, and a 3-axis version holds 3,000 kg. The standard motor spindle runs to 15,000 rpm at 130 Nm. Optional spindles give 20,000 rpm at 130 Nm, 24,000 rpm at 100 Nm, or 15,000 rpm at 200 Nm. Tool magazine options are 30, 60, 90, 120 and 180 pockets, and the sword-type changer has a chip-to-chip time of 4.9 seconds. The door opens 1,310 mm wide, the table sits 800 mm high, and a crane can load parts from above. Internal coolant to 80 bar is optional. Control choices are Siemens 840D solutionline and Heidenhain TNC 640. The machine needs 8 m² of floor.
