What the maker publishes about the current DMG MORI CLX 350
CLX 350 is a universal turning machine in the DMG MORI CLX Series. Work up to 320 mm in diameter and 530 mm long fits it, and bar diameter is limited to 65 mm. X travels 242.5 mm and Z travels 540 mm; on builds with a Y axis, Y has 80 mm of travel. A direct measuring system is standard on X, or on X and Y. The main spindle drive is rated 22.1 hp and 123.9 ft lb at 40% duty, and reaches 5,000 rpm. Where a sub spindle is fitted, it is an ISM 36 integrated motor spindle of 16.9 hp and 45.7 ft lb, also turning to 5,000 rpm, and it can work on the rear face of a part. Floor space is 53.8 ft². SIEMENS on a 19 inch multi-touch panel and FANUC on a 19 inch SLIM line panel are the two control choices. A part catcher and a bar feeder interface are options.
