What the maker publishes about the current Citizen L32X
Of the four L32 types that Citizen tabulates for its Cincom line, the L32 X is one of two with a Y2 axis, which rapids at 24m/min, and on the X a driven back tool post is standard rather than an option. Bar up to 32mm Dia. is handled. The machine can work with a guide bushing or without one, and the page says switching between the two takes a simple operation. With the bushing, 320mm is machined per chuck; without it, the limit is the workpiece diameter times 2.5. A 39mm Dia. hole runs through the main spindle, driven by a 3.7/7.5kW motor. The back spindle shares the main spindle's top speed, runs on a 2.2/3.7kW motor and chucks up to 32mm Dia. Gang and back post rotary tools have one common speed limit, and a rotary build of the opposed post is optional. X1, X2, Y1, Z1 and Z2 rapid at 32m/min.
