A Blanchard model, the 11AD-20 belongs among rotary surface grinders and sets an 11 inch wheel over a 20 inch magnetic chuck. A 500 lb load limit applies to the chuck; work 21 inches across fits within the swing. The grinding spindle carries a standard 15 HP rating. Bourn & Koch's own build of the 11AD-20 puts a servo motor read by an encoder on each of its two axes, the X carriage and the Z head, and pairs a touch screen with the Blanchard grinding HMI. That build turns the chuck at 15 to 75 RPM and includes spark out with automatic retract; a wet base and coolant filtration appear among the options.
