What the maker published about the Haas TL-3
Haas describes the TL-3 as a CNC/manual toolroom lathe, run through Haas's own programming system, and the archived spec page puts its maximum capacity at 20 x 60 in (508 x 1524 mm). It swings 20.0 in above the front apron and 13.0 in above the cross slide, and the centers sit 60 in apart. X moves 12 in and Z 60 in; rapid traverse is 75 in/min on X and 150 in/min on Z. A vector drive rated 18 hp (13.4 kW) turns the spindle, which has an A2-6 nose, as fast as 1800 rpm and gives 204 ft-lb at 417 rpm, and the bore is 3.50 in. A 12 in chuck is optional: the base machine comes without workholding, a toolpost or toolholders. It is wired for three-phase power only, needs an enclosure for CE compliance, and weighs 6500 lb.
