2014 Haas OL-1
Metal Cutting
7 Haas OL-1 listings have come through the used market we track: 5 marketplaces, built 2009–2014.
Haas placed the OL-1 in a class it named the Office Lathe: a two-axis CNC lathe that draws single-phase power only, at 20A. Its threaded 5C collet spindle, closed by an automatic air collet closer, has a 1.25 in bore and reaches 6000 rpm. Bar stock up to 1.06 in passes through, and a chuck of at most 4 in is an option. Measured over the table, swing and largest cutting diameter are both 4.95 in; over the cross slide the figure rises to 11 in. That cross slide holds gang-style tools and moves 12 in in X against 8 in in Z. Rapid moves on each axis reach 757 in/min, thrust is 1149 lb per axis, and cutting feeds go as high as 500 in/min. Program memory is 1 MB.

Haas's 2004 release names medical and research labs, schools and training centers, and hobby shops as homes for the OL-1, anywhere small parts are turned, since it passes through a standard 36 in doorway and a pallet jack can shift it.
