Metal Cutting
7 Toyoda Americas FA630 listings have come through the used market we track: 5 marketplaces, built 1997–2003 where given.
Built by Toyoda, the FA630 is a horizontal machining center sized for 630 x 630 mm pallets that hold as much as 1,300 kg apiece. The linear axes give 1000 mm of X, 850 mm of Y and 750 mm of Z, while the nose of the spindle can sit from 50 to 900 mm above the pallet top. Within a #50 nose, standard speed spans 15 to 6,000 rpm, drawing 30 kW for 15 minutes or 22 kW without a time limit. Toyoda listed a 5,000 rpm geared head and 14,000, 15,000 and 20,000 rpm spindles as options, the fastest using HSK tooling, along with through-spindle coolant. Forty CAT #50 V-Flange tools are standard with random selection, and optional magazines run from 12 up to 240 pockets. The tool limit is 120 mm in diameter, 500 mm in length and 27 kg, and a change takes 1.7 to 3.0 sec depending on weight.
