Mazak built the VCN-530C to work on three axes as a vertical machining center. Its work surface measures 1300 mm by 550 mm. Across that table, X travel comes to 1049 mm, while the Y stroke reaches 530 mm and Z has 510 mm of up and down movement. Tooling fits a 40 taper spindle; Mazak described a choice of spindles that weigh speed against torque to match the job and the material being cut. A servo-driven changer swaps tools out of a 30 pocket magazine. The guide system is Mazak's MX Hybrid Roller design, and the description stresses a solid table on a rigid base. At the control, programs can be written in EIA/ISO code or in conversational form, and the conversational side covers angled drilling, milling and tapping.
