What the maker published about the Mazak QTN450II
Mazak's QTN450II is a two-axis CNC turning center carrying an 18 in chuck, and its page notes a large bore through the spindle. Over the bed it swings 845 mm, while the cutting diameter limit is 580 mm. A 37 kW (50.0 hp) integral motor, rated for 30 minutes, gives the spindle a ceiling of 2000 rpm, while the upper turret indexes 12 tools. The 1000U, 2000U and 3000U beds hold X travel at 310 mm and set the length limits: machining length is 979 mm, 2029 mm or 3080 mm, Z moving 1070 mm, 2120 mm or 3170 mm, in that order. The control named is the MATRIX NEXUS, programmable through MAZATROL conversational screens or in EIA-ISO. Through-hole chuck packages come in many sizes, the tailstock is CNC programmable, and an automatic tool eye is part of the list.
