What the maker published about the Mazak HCN 10800-II
In Mazak's HORIZONTAL CENTER NEXUS line, the HCN 10800-II is a horizontal machining center, and its standard pallet changer shuttles two 1000 mm (39.370 in) pallets. Mounted work may reach 2050 mm across and 1600 mm high. Strokes measure 1700 mm along X, 1525 mm along Z and 1400 mm along Y. Its tabulated spindle combines a 50 taper with a 10000 rpm ceiling, and its 30 minute rating is 50.0 hp / 37 kw. Eighty pockets make up the magazine in that table, and other magazine sizes were listed. A Hard Metal (HM) configuration was optional, fitting a high-power, high-torque spindle aimed at difficult alloys like Inconel and titanium. Intelligent functions named on the page include Active Vibration Control and the Intelligent Thermal Shield, which compensates for heat displacement. The machine could also be tied into a PALLETECH System from Mazak.
