Mazak puts the FJV 5 Face-60/120 in its FJV 5 Face group of vertical machining centers, built on two columns, with the units for five-face cutting fitted as standard. Its columns stand 1500 mm apart above a 3000 mm × 1250 mm table, and the axes cover 3200 mm in X, 1400 mm in Y and 660 mm in Z. The standard spindle has its motor built in, so no drive gears are used; it turns to 10000 min-1 and holds BT50 or CAT No.50 tooling. The main magazine is sized for 30 tools. For side faces, an angle head clamped hydraulically lets a single angle tool reach four sides of a workpiece, and a dedicated magazine holds 8 angle tools.
