What the maker publishes about the current Doosan NHM 5000
DN Solutions' NHM 5000 is a horizontal machining center, the 500 mm pallet member of an NHM series table that also covers the NHM 6300 and NHM 8000. Its square pallet measures 500x500 mm (20X20 inch) and takes workpieces of up to 800 kg, or 1764 lb. Strokes run 800 mm along X, 700 mm along Y and 850 mm along Z; in inches, 31, 28 and 33. Every axis moves at a rapid 30 m/min (1181 ipm). An ISO #50 spindle turns at 6000 r/min as standard and is rated at 25/15 kW with 1034 N·m of torque. Figures printed in braces, which mark options, are 8000 r/min, 35/22 kW and 1444 N·m. The tool magazine has 60 stations. On the floor the machine is 6055 mm long and 3670 mm wide, with a height of 3330 mm, and it weighs 18500 kg (40786 lb).
