What the maker published about the Doosan DBC 250II
Doosan Infracore named the DBC 250 Ⅱ for its 250 mm quill, and the C in the series name marks a column moving NC boring machine. A built in spindle with greased bearings runs to 6000 r/min, rated 30/22 kW for 30 minutes and continuous duty, with 598 N·m of torque, while the quill feeds 500 mm as the W axis. Strokes of 3000 mm in X, 2000 mm in Y and 1600 mm in Z each rapid at 10 m/min. A 1600 x 1800 mm table bearing 15000 kg is standard; 1800 x 2000 and 2000 x 2200 mm tables are options rated 13000 and 12000 kg. A Fanuc 31i handles five controlled axes, counting W and the B table, and a Heidenhain control is optional. The tool changer is an option as well, with 40, 60 or 90 BT50 pockets for tools up to 600 mm long. Absolute linear scales, a spindle air curtain and a W axis clamp come standard here, and the machine weighs 43000 kg.

Doosan's DBC II brochure, on its site by February 2015, gives the DBC 250 II a greased, built-in spindle reaching 6,000 r/min behind a 250 mm quill that feeds out of the head, aimed at fast, fine machining, while the DBC 130 II keeps a high-torque head for heavy cuts.
