Mori Seiki filed the MV-50E among its MV series vertical machining centers; the 1,320x550 mm working surface is rated for 800 kg. That table travels 1,020 mm lengthwise to make the X stroke. Y comes from a saddle moving 510 mm crosswise, and the spindle head drops and rises through 460 mm to give Z. Base spindle speed is 8,000 min-1, and a bracketed optional spindle raises it to 12,000 min-1. Tooling uses MAS BT-40 shanks, and CAT-40 appears in brackets as the alternative. The magazine stores 20 tools, or 30 in the bracketed option. Each figure carries an inch conversion beside it, for example 40.2 in. for X, and a footnote warns that workholding, fixtures and cutters can keep the spindle from its top speed. No motor rating, rapid rate or weight is printed.
