The ecoMill 1035 V is a vertical mill on a C shaped frame from DMG MORI's ECOLINE ecoMill V line, with travels of X 1,035 mm, Y 560 mm and Z 510 mm. Its 1,200 x 560 mm T slot table sits 720 mm above the floor and bears 1,000 kg. The motor spindle peaks at 12,000 rpm and is rated for 40% duty at 13 kW with 83 Nm, or for continuous running at 9 kW with 57 Nm. Rapids are 30 m/min per axis, cutting feed reaches 24 m/min and feed force is 5 kN. The changer holds 20 tools, 30 optionally, each up to 6 kg, 300 mm long and ø 80 mm wide, or ø 130 mm beside empty pockets; chip to chip time is 5 sec. Positioning tolerance under VDI/DGQ 3441 is 0.02 mm with indirect and 0.008 mm with direct path measuring. Controls are SIEMENS 840D solutionline with ShopMill, HEIDENHAIN TNC 620 or Mitsubishi MAPPS IV, and fitted with the 20 tool magazine and a chip tray it weighs 4,500 kg.
