2023 Brother TC-22B
Metal Cutting
2 Brother TC-22B listings have come through the used market we track: 2 marketplaces, built 2023 where given; one early year that only one marketplace reports is left out.
Brother's TC-22B is a CNC tapping center in which the table travels under the spindle, and Brother aimed it at machining automobile parts; its page now marks it as a discontinued product. X, Y and Z cover 500, 450 and 410 mm, and Brother points to the long Y stroke as what lets larger parts be worked on several faces. Brother lists 12,000 and 16,000 min-1 spindles, the magazine holds 18 or 27 tools plus one, and rapid traverse is 70 m/min on all three axes. The machining area is closed off from the machine side so that chips and coolant stay out of the mechanism, and Brother cites raised rigidity and heat expansion compensation for boring large holes and finishing reference holes. A TC-22B-O version stretches X to 700 mm and needs 1,870 x 3,102 mm of floor against 1,496 x 3,102 mm.

Brother aimed the TC-22B at car parts: its 450 mm Y stroke lets a large workpiece be cut on several faces, it bores large holes and finishes reference holes, and the cutting area is walled off from the mechanism against heavy chips and coolant.
