Haas ST-35Y is a Y-axis turning center from the Haas ST Series, a lathe with live tooling and a C axis on the main spindle. The main spindle has an A2-8 nose, a 4.62 in bore and a 4.00 in bar capacity, and it turns at up to 3200 rpm with a 40.0 hp (29.8 kW) maximum rating. A 12.0 in hydraulic chuck is standard. Maximum part swing is 21.0 in, and with the BMT65 turret the maximum cutting diameter is 13.75 in, with a cutting length of 32.5 in that varies with workholding. The turret holds 12 stations, and the driven tools run to 4000 rpm. Travels are 9.40 in on X, plus or minus 2.0 in on Y and 32.50 in on Z. The coolant tank holds 55 gal. A sub-spindle is an option, with a 6.5 in chuck.
