What the maker published about the Haas BARFEEDER V2
The Haas Bar Feeder V2 is a bar loader rather than a machine tool: Haas built it only for its own turning centers, naming the ST and DS series, and it links directly to the Haas lathe control. Bar stock from 0.375 in to 3.00 in in diameter goes through it, with the exact range set by the lathe it serves. Bars may be as long as 48 in and no shorter than 10 in. The charging tray carries up to 650 lb of stock in total, and the lift arm takes up to 80 lb. Thrust from the pushrod peaks at 100 lbf, the pushrod doubles as a stop, and the unit stores pushrods of both 3/8 in and 3/4 in diameter. Without a deadstop, feed positioning holds ± 0.010 in. To reach the back of the lathe spindle for liner changes, the feeder rolls away, and patented Haas spindle liners are included. The unit weighs 900 lb.

Haas presents the Bar Feeder V2 as a way to automate part production on its own turning centers; its page says the V2 fits Haas lathes with the NGC control built after March 1, 2021, that earlier NGC lathes may need a software patch, and that lathes on the Classic control cannot use it.
