What the maker published about the DMG MORI ECOTURN 450
Sized for a 250 mm chuck and set on 4.9 m² of floor, the ecoTurn 450 is a compact ECOLINE universal lathe from DMG MORI. Turned work can reach ø 400 mm within a 650 mm swing, or 465 mm clear of the cross slides. X travel is 267.5 mm and Z travel 600 mm, each traversing at 30 m/min. Bar of ø 65 mm runs through the 170h5 spindle, or ø 75 mm optionally. Peak speed is 4,000 rpm, with 17.5 kW and 370 Nm at 40% duty and 12.5 kW and 280 Nm continuously, and the table marks chucks of 210, 250 and 315 mm as options. A servo turret carries 12 VDI 40 holders, any of which can take optional driven tools turning to 4,000 rpm on 4.2 kW and 20 Nm. The automatic tailstock moves 500 mm, holds an MT 5 center and pushes with 800 daN. Weight comes to 5,200 kg, rising to 5,800 kg when a chip conveyor is fitted.
