Mazak's 2014 page lists the Vertical Center Nexus 510C-II as a vertical machining center in its Nexus II series, run by a Mazatrol Matrix Nexus CNC that takes conversational or EIA programs. The table measures 1300 x 550 mm. Travel is 1050 mm in X, 530 mm in Y and 510 mm in Z. The spindle takes 40-taper tools and turns to 12000 rpm, and its motor is rated 11 kW (15 hp) for 30 minutes. The magazine holds 30 tools. Every axis runs on Mx roller guides, and the control swings so the operator can see it. The Intelligent Machine functions on the page give preventive maintenance information, compensate for heat displacement, damp vibration and talk the operator through setup. Mazak also listed a high-speed version and a CAT 50-taper version of the model.
