The VF-12/50 is the 150 in X version of Haas's 50-taper VF verticals, reaching 30 in past the X stroke of the VF-11/50 that Haas lists beside it as the smaller work envelope, and it carries the geared two-speed spindle Haas recommends for hard stock and wide cutters; a VF-12/40 shares the frame with the smaller taper.
