What the maker published about the Fanuc ROBODRILL T21IFL

FANUC's ROBODRILL α-T21iFLb was the wide-stroke model of the α-iFb series, a small No. 30 taper machining center intended for drilling and tapping plus milling and boring. Its table moves 700 mm along X, while the saddle crosses 400 mm in Y and the head descends 330 mm in Z. On top sits an 850 x 410 mm working surface rated at 300 kg of evenly spread load. A turret-type changer holds 21 tools and picks each one by the shortest random path. As standard, the spindle reaches 10,000 min-1 with BT30 tooling and develops 11.0 kW on its one-minute rating; a 24,000 min-1 high-speed spindle was an option. Control comes from a FANUC Series 31i-A with three basic axes, and the optional DDR rotary table brought a fourth simultaneous axis.

What the Fanuc ROBODRILL T21IFL is used for

FANUC's alpha-iFb catalog shows the series on car parts such as crank cases and exhaust manifolds, on small electrical parts from aluminum to stainless steel, a hard disk frame among them, and on three-dimensional work such as resin models and copper electrodes.
