What the maker published about the Emag VL3
EMAG's page for the VL 3 lists Chuck diameter, max. at 200 mm and Swing dia. at 210 mm. The page also gives X-axis travel at 400 mm and Z-axis travel at 200 mm. The VL 3 is a vertical lathe with an integrated loading and unloading system. An overhead slide carries a spindle that takes over collecting and removing workpieces. A conveyor belt moves workpieces in carrier prisms to a station behind the machining area. Short travels and a compact design keep loading and cycle times short. The conveyor belt does not need to be reset when the machine changes to another workpiece, and transport data reaches the control through the NC workpiece program.
