What the maker published about the DMG MORI RL-203
Mori Seiki's RL-203 is a parallel twin spindle CNC lathe in the RL series, and every turning figure on its sheet applies to both sides, No.1 and No.2. Each side turns work up to 240 mm in diameter and 150 mm long, 200 mm being the standard diameter, and each spindle reaches 4,500 min-1 on an 11/7.5 kW drive (15/10 HP), rated for 30 minutes and continuous. Each turret holds 8 tools, or 12 on the optional turret, and indexes in 0.8 sec. X moves 130 mm, as 120 mm plus 10 mm, and Z 150 mm, with rapids of 24 m/min on both. A gantry-type loader version is also listed: the machine stands 2,351 mm tall, or 3,149 mm with the loader, and occupies 1,965 x 2,352 mm, or 2,820 x 2,489 mm with it, the depth including the operation panel.
