Nakamura-Tome builds the AS-200L as a single-turret multitasking lathe with a Y-axis and milling fitted as standard. The Y-axis strokes 82mm. Milling runs on a 5.5/3.7kw drive. Milling tools turn at 6000 min-1. The left spindle takes an 8″ chuck. Bar capacity on that spindle is 65mm, or 71mm in a second version. Its drive motor is rated 15/11kW. Left spindle speed reaches 4,500 min-1. An optional right spindle takes a 6″ chuck and 42mm bar. That right spindle runs to 6,000 min-1 on 7.5/5.5kW. Turning diameter is 290mm with the 12-station turret and 280mm with the optional 15-station one. Turning length is 570mm. With the option, centers can sit 760mm apart. Rapids are 24m/min for X and 36m/min for Z. The C-axis indexes at 600 min-1. The dodecagonal drum turret has room for 24 stations at most.
