The PUMA VT1100 is a vertical turning center in the DN Solutions PUMA VT series, and it clamps parts on a 32 inch chuck. Parts up to 1100 mm in diameter fit the machine. Maximum turning length is 960 mm. Travel is 580 mm on the X-axis and 1000 mm on the Z-axis. Both axes move at a rapid rate of 20 m/min. Power reaches the spindle through a gearbox. Top spindle speed is 850 r/min. The spindle motor is rated at 65 kW. Peak torque at the spindle is 7559 N·m. The turret holds 12 tools. An optional automatic tool changer stores 12 tools on Capto C8 shanks. Each changer tool can measure up to 110 mm across and 450 mm long. Overall, the machine is 2830 mm long, 3305 mm wide and 4012 mm tall. It weighs 22000 kg. DN Solutions also lists a milling version in the same series.
