DMG MORI's NLX 2500 page gives one set of figures for the series and none of its own for the SY build, so every figure here is the base NLX 2500's; the page also links an accessories sheet for the NLX 2500 SY. The series is built in a Type 700 and a Type 1250 length. On the Type 700, workpieces can be up to 460 mm in diameter and 705 mm long. Along Z, the Type 700 moves 795 mm. The Type 1250 stretches part length to 1255 mm. Bar stock passes through at up to 90 mm. The X stroke is 260 mm, and on the builds that have a Y axis, Y travel reaches 100 mm. The turret is a BMT design, meaning the tool drive motor sits inside it. Rotary tools reach 10,000 rpm. Slideways carry the X, Y and Z axes. A turret with fast-change tooling is optional. Control choices include MAPPS on a Mitsubishi or FANUC CNC, or a SIEMENS SINUMERIK 840d solutionline.
